[Tutorial] How to load the Tranzit survival maps (Town, Farm, Depot)

    Make sure you comment out your sv_maprotation line

    Add this to your dedicated_zm.cfg file.

    If you want to play Farm, change ui_zm_mapstartlocation to "farm", "town" for town, and to play bus depot you have to put "transit"

First of all I would like to say that Plutonium is a project with a vision on modability, and thus topics like these are very useful to the community and the project. The staff claiming that "the cod community is not worthy of the fix" or "it shouldn't be public" has been dealt with.

    Also a note to everyone. you can always add couple forward slashes //sv_maprotation and //map_rotate for future reference if you want to change maps back to normal rotation like nuketown, Die Rise, Buried etc. or you can backup original zombie config. Your choice.

  • Since the dvars are now public knowledge I will share my full config that will let anyone run any of the special maps and gamemodes:

    Grief on Tranzit maps:

    Notes:
    Technically there are other locations/gamemodes which "work" for survival/grief but are missing assets.
    Tranzit Locations:
    "tunnel", "power", "diner", and "cornfield" //missing spawnpoints, perk machines, barriers etc
    Tranzit/MoTD/Buried Gametypes:
    "zmeat" //missing core assets of the mode, and crashes the client without a script modification

  • Hello! first of all thanks for the code, other part of this had a problem. i tried each code in server list i see them also but as i step on your server and immediately throw it out with this error message: Server Disconnected-EXE_CLIENT_FIELD_MISMATCH.if you might be able to help I would be very grateful for it.

  • @DNS Show your server config you must be doing something wrong if you get that error.

  • dedicated zm.cfg? do you mean file?

  • @DNS Yes the dvars work they have been tested many times before they had become public so they work. The only explanation is your server config has sv_maprotation active while you are trying to run a non sv_maprotation map such as town. Use pastebin to share your config and remove any sensitive information like passwords/rcon passwords.

  • @DNS Remove map_rotate and see if it works. map_rotate isn't needed for running a town server.

  • so Server Disconnected-EXE CLIENT FIELD MISMATCH is discontinued
    it only hangs now while waiting for the other players

  • @JezuzLizard the sound effects of powerups are not being played back. This is normal?

  • @broken168 You mean the announcer dialog doesn't play when you pickup a powerup? That is a bug on every map except MoTD.
