I've recently set up my own server with port forwarding, and I've tested it out on my laptop and it connects just fine. However, when my friend tries to connect, it says "connecting to...." but nothing happens. Anyone know why?

Which ports did you port forward?

On the machine hosting the server, visit https://canyouseeme.org and test the port numbers you port forwarded, if it says success on all of them, ensure your friend can access other servers.
