Getting shot round corners and smoothness

The game feels weirdly smooth, and slidey (I don't know how to explain it) and I'm always getting shot around corners and before I see people, despite having a powerful rig and low ping.
I noticed when I had FPS uncapped, I was getting 1500+ fps, but the game couldn't handle it - the game was bugging, being unable to move offline, and constant "connection interrupted"s appearing.
I have a 280Hz monitor, so I'd rather not dip my FPS too low, but even at 200FPS, I still get repeatedly shot before the person has appeared on my screen. In the killcam it shows them just walking round a corner normally and shooting me.
Any ideas what might be happening?
