OS: Windows 11 (64-bit)
CPU: AMD RYZEN AI MAX+ 395
GPU: AMD Radeon(TM) 8060S Graphics

The Issue:
I am experiencing a consistent, identical hard freeze on startup for both Plutonium T5 (Black Ops 1) and Plutonium T4 (World at War). The vanilla Steam versions of both of these games work absolutely flawlessly out of the box on this machine.

When launching either title through the Plutonium launcher, the bootstrapper console executes successfully up to Creating Direct3D device..., displays the standard engine material warnings, and then the viewport window permanently freezes on a solid gray screen labeled (Not Responding).

Interestingly, the underlying console thread remains fully interactive (Plutonium r5338 >), but the Direct3D 9 renderer completely fails to draw the user interface or hand off control to the Plutonium overlay.

What I have already tried to rule out permissions/driver bugs:

Directory Permissions: Relocated the base game files completely out of protected system folders to a dedicated directory (C:\Games\bo1_game_files\) to ensure zero Windows UAC or Controlled Folder Access write conflicts.

Launcher Permissions: Set both plutonium-bootstrapper-win32.exe and the game EXEs to run as Administrator.

Driver Settings: Reset AMD Adrenalin to factory defaults. Fully disabled the AMD Radeon In-Game Overlay, Radeon Anti-Lag, and any third-party background software (Discord, RivaTuner, etc.).

Configuration Files: Attempted to manually place a default config_mp.cfg in %localappdata%\Plutonium\storage\t5\players to force windowed/borderless parameters (r_fullscreen 0, r_noborder 1), but the client still hangs on the gray screen.

Is there a known structural incompatibility with how Plutonium's injection layer/overlay hooks Direct3D 9 on modern AMD architectures? It seems like a timing or rendering pipeline handoff issue specific to Plutonium.

Just WaW and Black Ops 1 still wouldn't open the game. But its fixed now, all I had to do is edit the config_mp.cfg and add a few things to tell the game to load in full screen mode when opening the game. So that fixed it for both WaW and Black Ops 1. Now the game runs flawless. I still don't know if that dxvk for dx9, but ultimately it open so I can play it. Just put it in the BO1 directory with the steam dll and the non-pluto exe.
If that's not working then idk.
