How do I fix this error?

This message pops up after clicking "play" in the plutonium launcher for MW3:

BLA23 Find or search “steam_api.dll” in your game directory/folder and delete it.

found it thanks so much! also sorry to ask again but i have a problem with bo2 when i play it some times it rune at 180 fps and then when i play it another time i get 5 fps any fix? thanks for helping me out.

i tried doing this myself as the fix but every time i delete the file, the mw3 dedicated server wont launch until i validate the files which just replaces the file i just deleted..
