BO1 zombies friends can't join while match is started

Well, people can join WaW if the server is on Lan mode and can join BO2 from PLAY mode easily. But I can't find a way to make my friends join a match of zombies that has already started, the join match options does nothing on PLAY mode and Lan doesn't work in BO1, any solutions?

when the game started did you try to restart the game by going in the command prompt and typing 'fast_restart' without quotes.
