You must ve doing something wrong then
Click on game settings in the launcher and screenshot
Also screenshot the selected folder's content in file explorer without hiding the path at the top

AmaunGoCrazy why do you store your game on a USB drive? This is a terrible idea. Very likely the issue

I won't bother trying to help if your game is on a USB drive. Try to repair or move the game on a normal disk
