Get a smaller image or correct format or whatever
Note that to show up on your side, after successfully uploading your avatar, you need to press CTRL + F5 to clear your browser's cache and refresh the data

Usually the change is immediate effective but your browser just doesn't even try to load a new image, either wait until the cache gets deleted or delete it manually.
