why does only the host have low ping??

any time my friends and i play customs on b02 plutonium everyone else except the host has 100 ping or more. its annoying does anyone know why this happens or how to fix it??

The host is obviously the one hosting the lobby.
You have a higher ping because they need to connect to your IP. It depends on where they are trying to join your lobby from. For example, if you are in America and your friends are in Europe, your ping will be much higher because it takes longer for the data on both PCs to share the information of data.It depends on your friends' location and internet speed.
You can think of it like a letter.

If you send a letter from Europe to America, it will take a few days for it to arrive.

But if you send a letter to someone who lives in the same country as you, it goes much faster. I don't think there is a better way to describe it
Maybe one of your friends should create a lobby so you can find out which of you has the best internet. The one with the best internet and location should then host the lobby. Hope that helps.

we all are in the US and on every other game we play together he was basically the same ping so im genuinely very confused. but i get your point the host always going to have the better ping , if i host i have 10 ping and he has 100 if he hosts he has 10 ping and i have 100 so like i dont get it

If ur all in the same country it seems like the Connection speed is causing it. Like i said: Did u try that someone else of ur friends hosts the lobby?
Any Background programs running like VPN or something that is using a lot of Internet? (U can look up in Task Manager > Network (There u see if something uses too much internet)
Because It has nothing to do with Plutonium itself or the files. Ping is only Internet related
