I'm new to plutonium, every game I join the chat says this is my x time joining this server. It also says I'm from the United States. Is there a way to stop that from happening? Yes I get me being from the US is vague but I still don't want it shown. Let alone why is it even saying that. Plutonium never asked my location and I never gave it out. So how does it know my location to begin with?

AntiMedal6 That happens to all of us and when you accepted the terms of conditions you accepted that, apart from where you are from appears on your profile. And there is no way around it.

AntiMedal6 Some server scripts tell you the country that players are from as they join

AntiMedal6 When you join a server they get your IP address. This is required because the server needs to know who they are sending information to. Because of this they can determine your estimated location and IW4M Admin uses this to send that chat message automatically. The only way to make the chat message not show up would be to complain to the server owner and ask them to disable it, otherwise it will be active on every server that uses IW4M Admin which is likely all of them.

This is a 3rd party tool called IW4MAdmin, it's a server administration tool that does this by default. I can understand that you don't want it but how is this a problem? Knowing that you're from the US or Germany or Portugal doesn't change anything for anyone
