Unable to run IW5

Whenever I try to launch IW5 I get the error "Unable to load import '_AiL_set_reedist_directory@4' from module 'mss32.dll"
I read the frequent issues section and it said my directory is wrong.
At first I had it in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3
then I tried D:\Steam\Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3
then I tried making a folder with just the dedicated server in it but that also did not work.
Is there anything else I can try? Thanks

This usually happens when you download a mss32.dll from the internet. Those are all the wrong version. That file comes with the game so if you don't have it something is wrong with your installation, downloading random dlls from the internet is never a good idea. I mean it's pretty simple.. you just install the mw3 dedicated server via steam and browse to that folder in the plutonium launcher. By default it's gonna be
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 Dedicated ServerWorks the same with the game if you own it on steam.

Works the same with the game if you own it on steam. you have to open back up the pluto launcher go to game settings right next to play and change you file location to where its installed -
That's exactly what I did. and I still get this error.

CoryM There is alot of files missing from that folder, verify it via steam. also make sure that is actually the directory steam installs the game to (right click game in steam library -> properties -> local files -> browse local files).

i copied the game to my other harddrive im sorry im a editor and didnt want to mess up the actual copy of mw3 or other stuff im new to pc but thanks for the help i really appreciate it

oof i wasnt trying to "hijack" nice way to talk to someone lol i was just trying to get help im new to this stuff anyway im having the same problem i cant even launch the game im just joining in on it bc i have everything downloaded for the game to work and its crashing on startup

luigistyle lol you suppose to be a staff member bro look at when i made this account literally made this shit probably like two months ago just got a pc and wanted to play pluto and the one time i download the client and it doesnt work i come on here and see unable to startup iw5 i click and ask im in thee wrong wtf type of shit is that lmao i dont even use this site so how tf would i know thats a thumbs down on you guys
