I just went into firewall settings and specifically allowed plutonium.exe but the same error still comes up, any thoughts?

Try changing dns to 1.1.1.1 or try a vpn. Should work.

HannesC Got the same error currently and changing DNS and/or making it's allowed through firewall did not fix the problem. I was playing beforehand so it was working initially, but on second boot-up I just can't fix this error.

TheRealNight PrivateInternetAcces VPN should work for this. I've done it and it works. But after you actually launch the game like Black Ops 2 or MW3, then turn the VPN off so you can join servers that don't allow VPN on, and connection errors won't be an issue from what I've seen so far. I get this error lots and have to use the vpn.

I've been having the same problem and have found that uninstalling the files then reinstalling them will correct the issue.

If you are installing, using a VPN should fix this issue.

I cant launch without using a VPN, I don't pay for it so this isn't a permanent solution

There's free vpns too you know. Sure they ask you to upgrade to premium versions but you can just close the prompts and use it for as long as you want.

Having the same issue. Go too play the game and gives the https://cdn.plutonium.pw/updater/prod.json": tls: first record does not look like a TLS handshake. I've deleted it twice and downloaded it twice. Sometimes it'll allow me too get in game but no servers let me join. But mostly just says the reference above.
