i cant play solo because i cant connect to online servers, play any dlc and i cant play online

when i try to load into online servers it gives me an error seying i cant connect to online servers. When i try to play any dlc it just keeps loading and it has no picture it has this this blue and brown checkered picture instead. When i try to join a server as soon as i load in the game the games just loads it says that its downloading controls settings or sum but it just keeps doing that can anyone help?
