Created secondary account for server, now am unable to host `
-
Hello all,
I dug up an old gaming laptop to establish a dedicated server for my group of friends, this computer had an alternate plutonium account for the server as I just felt it was easier to separate them but on going through the process I found that they will not let me generate the key since this secondary account is not a week old.
No biggie! I signed into my main account and then found that I was unable to verify ownership of the game since I had already done it on the second account. I know the simple answer is to wait the full week for the account to be aged enough to move forward but would anyone be able to advise a way I can get this thing up and running to play with friends during the extended weekend? (we all work full time so the days off for labor day are the perfect time to get together and play a bit)

tonytrawl You shouldn't have to host a dedicated server if you plan to play with friends. You can always host a private match. However, if you really want to host a server just unlink or disassociate your steam from the 2nd account and link it to this one. But I highly suggest the former.

Pistakilla could you point me in the direction on how to unlink?
Benefit of the server is I am porting a ton of old mods from the wii and it allows them to auto-download the files as they change, I also never would turn down strangers who planned to join to keep the games full.

tonytrawl head to https://forum.plutonium.pw/user/altaccount/edit and press "deassociate" button. Then associate the steam account that has bo2 with the "tonytrawl" account.
