Plutonium IW5 launches, plays intro, but after it's completely black with the menu sound in the background

I set it up all correctly with no issues but no matter what I do, the game launches, the plutonium iw5 intro plays, but then a black screen in the exe with the sound playing, but I cannot interact with anything. When I try to it just crashes the game. There is no antivirus interference, I have restarted my pc multiple times and all my redists are up to date. I'm writing here since I couldn't find anything similar in the forums and the FAQ.

Change your video settings without crashing the game (borderless windowed)
Make sure your game is closed before doing that.
Go in this folder %localappdata%\Plutonium\storage\iw5\players.
Then open config_mp.cfg with the notepad to edit it.
Find r_displayMode and change it to be like this (you can use ctrl+f to search for it):
seta r_displayMode "windowed (no border)"
