Unable to join game session when trying to join custom games

Whether it's through invite or pressing join on my friends it almost always kicks me back to the main menu and says "unable to join game session"

Seirius This issue occurs frequently on Plutonium, unfortunately. Try relaunching your game and ask your friend to do the same; this is supposed to fix the problem, even if it persists. Alternatively, try playing on empty servers.

If you and your friends don't own the game you have to exit out of steam first completely its really weird, it doesn't work all the time but it works like 60% more. And if you have the game on steam you don't have to do anything.

konniii that's just a coincidence. Your game files don't have any impact on the game other than being able to play DLCs or not, game language and stuff like that
