Folders within your images folder for organization?

I frequently edit textures for T6. With a packed images folder, it becomes difficult to discern what's what. I tried making folders within the images folder to organize my iwi's, but alas, it didn't work. Does anyone know if this is possible? I believe it can be done with scripts.

Since T6 has proper mod support now you can just create a mod for each "organization".
