      Download the game from here
      https://store.steampowered.com/app/42700/Call_of_Duty_Black_Ops/
And if you already have it, just use the verifying file option
      https://plutonium.pw/docs/repair/

          You can try this...

          Sfc /scannow
          DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Scanhealth
          Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /CheckHealth
          DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth
          Dism.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /startComponentCleanup

ChosenUndead No disrespect, I don't see why you're commenting telling people to buy the game when it's not even a file-related issue. I literally just bought the bought the game and I am getting the same exact error which indicates plutonium could possibly only be compatible for certain hardware. It's not just you though as it seems on this specific error the sites own staff doesn't know whether it's hardware or file related and just telling you to buy the game.

Thanks for the attempt of help though.

90% of the cases here and in discord are related to pirated versions of the game. The last 9.9% comes to a broken windows installation or a mis-configuration of the same windows. So the main answer it is, and it will be “get the steam version of the game.“

I have the steam version of the game, ive reinstalled both campaign/zombies and multiplayer, and have repaired the files more than once, but still every time I attempt to launch Black Ops 1 within Plutonium, it crashes before the game can even begin to launch. I'm running Windows 11 and don't have this issue with Black ops 2, only Black Ops 1.

That could be happening because your operating system got some dlls corrupted. That is why I gave you the commands to try it. If you were using a custom ISO, that could be the reason too.Because most of the custom windows have had heavily debloated, which could result in a lot if issues when you want to run a particular program.

Your best option could be reinstalling a clean windows version...

                          Driver Method

Press Win+R, write this: dxdiag, press Ok, select Display in the window that opens, then look at the Device section for your device name and manufacturer. After you determine those, update your graphics drivers.

And it would be helpful if you could share a capture of the whole console.
So if any specific error, it could be spotted.

artsko you might be facing a different crash if these don’t work for you. Please make a separate topic thread with screenshots of the error message and the terminal window showing the "exception address".

                                          Thank you for your reply.
I'm completely unfamiliar with Plutonium and the forum.
My problem is that yesterday I tried to download BO1, but when I started the game, a message appeared (see attachment).
So I looked at what you wrote above regarding the "players" folder. I did the manipulation by creating the folder that didn't exist in my system. I was then able to launch the game in multiplayer, but the zombie still doesn't work and gives me the same error message.
What I don't understand is that a friend downloaded the same game file as me, and everything works without changing anything.
                                          Could you help me?
Oh yes, and what is this: the terminal window showing the "exception address"?

                                          Thanks!20250325_231618.jpg
