Modding on Steamdeck
-
Finally got Steamdeck Plutonium T6 to work and I want to install mods but don’t know which folder to put the mods in! Can anyone help?

If youre using SteamOS (and not Windows) and did it through just Steam it self as a non steam game:
Every game running proton has a Localappdata folder and other important stuff to essentially emulate Windows' file structures a bit.
You can find Plutoniums non steam by looking at the properties of the application on Steam and in the Target folder itll show its location of the bin folder, you can navigate from there to find the mods folder or create it yourself if it doesnt exist. -
techboy04gaming yo linus! fancy seeing you here XD

AdamCraft307 can you tell me how you did it
-
techboy04gaming are you accessing steam from desktop mode to get this working?
-
techboy04gaming I’ve managed to get the mods I want to install into the plutonium folder in the app data section of the C Drive but when I place them in the scripts folder, it doesn’t register when I open the game
-
wdym it doesnt register in the game? are you running scripts or mods? mods are structured zm_modname/mp_modname scripts are just .gsc files. Also double check where you put the scripts at, scripts/zm or scripts/mp

techboy04gaming I’m trying to install solo Easter egg mods for bo2 zombies. The creator of them says to put them in the scripts folder inside the zm folder. I created each map as a folder inside the zm folder and then placed the gsc files in the respective map folders. When I go back into plutonium, theres a mods section in the main menu of bo2 but there is nothing in there when I click on it. Since they are technically scripts, does that mean they won’t show up there?

AdamCraft307 Correct.
That mod menu is for mods with folders like zm_modname with a .ff inside of it.
Scripts load automatically.
