Can't play Origins?

Hey, I need some help. I've had an issue with trying to load into Origins in a solo or custom match. Any time I try in solo, it gets to "Two German scientists sought to..." then returns to the main menu. Otherwise if it's a custom game, it gets to "Awaiting challenge... 2" in the loading status at the bottom, then returns me to the main menu. Does anyone know why?
It happens in and out of LAN play.

DJseanyB I already have the DLC. I can play it through servers in the server browser.
I just can't do solo games, and it really sucks.
