Controller not working since update

I didn't have any problems using a PS4 controller with DS4 Windows, but I think aim assist was removed from all the servers, or may be a problem with that since the update

so how do i fix this? seems like every server i join it seems to have aim assist off and i play on controller lol help

Steam likes to steal controllers from games which are not launched through Steam.
A simple way to test is to close Steam and then to try it again.
