I quit playing Plutonium ever since the servers shut down and I don't think I'll be playing any time soon. I have moved on as y'all should.
-
Lately, I’ve been thinking... I miss moderating the servers. I miss banning toxic players. There’s something about watching racists and trolls lose their minds, spamming the Discord server with slurs in pure, unfiltered rage - it was hilarious.
A part of me still wants more. It was fun, way too fun. But now, I’m stuck at a crossroads:
Do I give SXR one final run? Or do I let it rest for good?I don’t know. I’m hesitant. But damn, the chaos was something else.

After careful thought, I have made my final decision - SXR will never return.
depends... why did you leave in the first place? sounds like you had a pretty strong reason to. (financial and personal). don't put yourself in a hole, lose family, or go to a place you can't recover from just for a game.
But if none of those things were true or are at least no longer true anymore... then fire it back up!

TheGreatReaper yes
-
Lemon i will be clicking on your discord link in your profile every 1 hour untill its up
-
TheGreatReaper yes we need SXR back (if you can manage it without issues ofc)
-
TheGreatReaper due to your financial situation, i dont think you should return just yet. im not saying this to be a dick. but i think you should focus on the financial side of your life instead of plutonium. yet the discord was filled with rage, slurs and racism that you just could not handle sometimes. as the discord server got less and less members so did the plutonium servers. so if you are thinking of coming back make sure you get a good staff/moderation team that are willing to contribiute and keep the servers FRESH.

Sxbotage i agree, but i would still like to see a discord server, as i miss talking to a old friend : ( i wish things ended better

DirkRockface I've got better, higher-priority things in real life to handle, but the servers still linger in my mind. Financially, I think it's manageable if the community pitches in with donations.
What really drained me was the silent, inactive Discord server - felt like talking to a wall - and the drama... Some people genuinely don’t get boundaries; they'd rather stir trouble than respect personal space. Morality is apparently lost on them. It wrecked my mental state pretty hard, to be honest.
Yet again, I might be wrong here - at the end of the day, it's fully my responsibility to maintain and cover the server bills. I hate sounding needy or like a burden, especially since SXR was just a fun little project. I never expected it to gain so many players or last this long.
That's really all there is to say.

yes this! i never thought my servers would get as big as they did either and while it is nice to get donations, you are best to assume that you'll be covering 100% of the bill (that way there are no surprises!)
And you'll never get around the crazies on discord! that'll always be a thing
Only you can make the call, if you are happier now without the server managing drama... stay happy, if not, try it again... only you know!
-
DirkRockface You're right - assuming the full cost from the start is definitely smarter; relying too heavily on donations usually leads to disappointment.
And yeah, I know the Discord "crazies" will always be there. It really just comes down to how much chaos I'm willing to endure. Honestly, I hate that I can't stick to my own words - last time I confidently said it was over, and yet here I am, reconsidering again. I don't even know where my head's at anymore.
If I do bring it back, it'll only be after some serious consideration about whether it's genuinely worth the stress this time.
Appreciate the input though - it helps clear things up.

when we back in business reaper?
