[Help] Zombies mode not working even offline – says “Lost connection to BO2 servers”

Hi everyone,

I’ve been trying to get Zombies mode working on Plutonium BO2, but I keep running into this issue:

Every time I try to launch any zombies map (either online or solo), I get the error:
“Lost connection to the Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 servers.”

Here’s my current setup:
I’m using the official Steam version of BO2 as my base.

Plutonium launcher is installed correctly and runs as admin.

Firewall exceptions are already added for all .exe files.

Multiplayer works perfectly (I can play online and offline with no issues).

But Zombies mode just won’t start
What I’ve tried:
Running as administrator
Adding firewall/antivirus exceptions
Rechecking file integrity via Steam
Verifying folders like main, zone, and players exist

Even checked %localappdata%\Plutonium\storage\t6\zone – I deleted the folder and reinstalled plutonium.

Has anyone made Zombies mode work using only the Steam version of BO2 as the base game?
Or is it 100% necessary to download the recommended basegame via the torrent from the Plutonium site?

Any help or confirmations would be appreciated!
