๐ŸŽฎ [RELEASE] Black Ops 2 Mod Switcher - No More Manual Script File Hell! ๐Ÿ”ฅ

    Yo Plutonium Squad! ๐Ÿ‘‹

-Tired of being that guy who accidentally mixed Cool zombies scripts with other mod scripts and broke everything? ๐Ÿ˜…

-You installed some sick zombie scripts and now you want to return to vanilla, but now you have to manually hunt down and delete hundreds of .gsc and .iwi files? ๐Ÿซ

-Your mods folder won't load correctly because some GSC script in your scripts/ folder is conflicting with it, and some mods require vanilla scripts to work properly? ๐Ÿ˜ค

-Fed up with copying tons of files every time you want to switch from one mod to another that uses GSC files?

-RIP to your weekend because you spent 3 hours untangling script conflicts instead of actually playing? ๐Ÿ’€

Well, those days are OVER! ๐Ÿš€

๐Ÿ”ฅ Why Your Squad Needs This:

    Problem Solution
๐Ÿ˜ญ "Bruh I mixed 3 different zombie mods and now my game won't start" โœ… Clean switching - no more frankenstein mods!
๐Ÿšซ "My mods folder won't load because some GSC is conflicting" โœ… Keeps scripts/images separate from each mod!
๐Ÿ”„ "This mod needs vanilla scripts but I have modded ones" โœ… Easy switch back to clean vanilla files!
๐Ÿ’€ "I lost my original files and can't go back to vanilla without reinstalling" โœ… Keeps everything organized in separate folders
โฐ "It takes me forever to manually delete all these .gsc files" โœ… 3 seconds and you're done!
๐Ÿคฌ "I accidentally mixed script files and now nothing works" โœ… Never touches your original files!
๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ "My t6 folder looks like a nuclear wasteland" โœ… Clean, organized structure

    ๐ŸŽฏ Perfect For:

    • ๐ŸงŸ Zombie Modders - Switch between different zombie experiences instantly
    • ๐Ÿ”ซ MP Enthusiasts - Jump from bot matches to custom multiplayer mods
    • ๐ŸŽจ Custom Map Players - Different scripts for different maps
    • ๐Ÿ”ง Mod Developers - Test different versions without file management hell
    • ๐Ÿ˜ด Lazy Gamers - Because ain't nobody got time for manual copying

๐Ÿ“ How It Works (It's Dummy Proof):

Your folder structure will look clean AF:

    ๐Ÿ“‚ %localappdata%/Plutonium/storage/t6/ :
    โ”œโ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ”ง mod_switcher.exe โ† Place the app here
    โ”œโ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ scripts/ โ† Active mod files
    โ”œโ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ images/ โ† Active mod files
    โ”œโ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ Original/ โ† Your vanilla/original files โญ
    โ”‚ โ”œโ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ scripts/
    โ”‚ โ””โ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ images/
    โ”œโ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ ColdWar-Zombies/ โ† Your first mod
    โ”‚ โ”œโ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ scripts/
    โ”‚ โ””โ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ images/
    โ”œโ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ Zombies-Bots/ โ† Your second mod
    โ”‚ โ”œโ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ scripts/
    โ”‚ โ””โ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ images/
    โ”œโ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ Custom-Maps/ โ† Your third mod
    โ”‚ โ”œโ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ scripts/
    โ”‚ โ””โ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ images/
    โ”œโ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ demos/
    โ”œโ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ main/
    โ”œโ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ mods/
    โ””โ”€โ”€ ๐Ÿ“ ... (other game folders)

    The app automatically:

    • ๐Ÿ” Finds your Plutonium installation (no manual browsing through AppData hell)
    • ๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ Lists all your mods in a clean interface
    • ๐Ÿ”„ Switches everything safely without breaking anything
    • ๐Ÿ’พ Remembers your settings for next time
    • โœ… Shows which mod is currently active

๐Ÿš€ Installation (Easier Than a Nuketown Spawn Kill):

    Step 1: Download

    ๐Ÿ‘‰ Download mod_switcher.exe from GitHub
(It's literally one file - no sketchy installer BS)

    Step 2: Setup

    1. Put mod_switcher.exe in your %localappdata%/Plutonium/storage/t6/ folder
    2. IMPORTANT: Create a backup folder of your vanilla files first! (Name it Vanilla, Original, whatever)
    3. Put each of your mods in separate folders

    Step 3: Dominate

    1. Run the .exe
    2. Select your mod
    3. Click "Switch"
    4. GG EZ ๐ŸŽฎ

โš ๏ธ Pro Tips From a Fellow BO2 Addict:

    • ๐Ÿ’ก ALWAYS backup your vanilla files first! Trust me on this one...
    • ๐Ÿ“› Don't put mods in the raw folder - the app ignores it (for good reason)
    • ๐ŸŽฏ Name your mod folders clearly - Zombie-Maps-Pack instead of asdjkhasd123
    • ๐Ÿ”„ Game must be closed when switching (obviously)
    • โšก Run as admin if you get permission errors

    ๐ŸŽ‰ Community Shoutouts:

Big thanks to the Plutonium devs for keeping BO2 alive and the modding community for creating awesome content!

This tool is 100% open source - check the code, modify it, make it better! It's made by the community, for the community.

I'm always looking to improve this tool and add new features.

    Possible future features:

    • ๐Ÿ”„ Auto-backup creation
    • ๐Ÿ“Š Mod usage statistics
    • ๐ŸŽจ Custom themes
    • ๐Ÿ”— Direct mod downloading from popular sources

    ๐Ÿ“ธ Screenshots:

    main.png
Clean, simple interface - just select and switch!

    ๐ŸŽฎ TL;DR:

Stop being a caveman copying files manually. Download this, switch mods in 3 seconds, go back to fragging. Your future self will thank you.

May your hitmarkers be headshots and your mod switches be instant! ๐ŸŽฏ๐Ÿ’€

P.S. - If this saved you from another 2AM "why is my game broken" session, drop a โญ on GitHub and spread the word! Let's make the whole community's life easier. ๐Ÿ˜Ž

    Happy Gaming! ๐Ÿš€

Why not create the correct folder structure so you can switch mods through the mod menu instead of having a llm write this utility?

            Xerxes
            Hello,โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ‘‹
This tool addresses a different problem than the in-game mod switcher.

The Issue i faced: Scripts/images in t6 folder often conflict with mods from the mods menu ( mods from in game mod changer).

            For example:

โ€ขZM ColdWar scripts/images conflict with Nuketown Revamped 2025 (mods folder)
So to play Nuketown Revamped, you must manually delete all custom scripts/images first

โ€ขSwitching between script-based mods (ColdWar โ†’ ZM Remix) requires manual file management ๐Ÿค–

My app function provides One-click switching between script/image sets without manual copying/deleting. โœจ

Regarding LLM: I only used AI to help create the GUI interface since i only create console python apps without GUI and console apps may not be comfortable for normal users.

The core functionality and logic are my own work. There's no shame in using tools to improve productivity.

i made this tool for myself and i wanted to share it to help the community. ๐Ÿค

This fills a real gap that the in game switcher doesn't address.

Aight, fyi mods from your scripts / images subfolders in t6 can be loaded through the ingame mod menu if you create a folder for them and move the files. I know this won't help with custom textures you want to use on servers but for scripts it certainly is a solution.

                Thanks for the information.

i tried the method you mentioned before but unfortunately some modes got broken or they were missing some features which depends on custom textures.

anyway i hope this app doesn't conflict with plutonium community standards.

It's just an open source tool i made to switch between mods with custom scripts and images without writing / overwriting / backup files every time i want to play.
