Seemingly random stuttering in multiplayer

When I do literally anything from shooting bots to just running around the map I have a chance to just randomly stutter. I know it's not a hardware issue as I loaded up in BO2 without plutonium and it ran just fine with the same settings. Even my friends who I play with encounter the same problems when we are in a match together. This started happening yesterday randomly, it it possible that the update yesterday caused something with my install?

Eagzz What is your specs. Also the games are badly optimized.

WolflexZ It's nvme i believe

after some looking, even while in a lobby by myself, shooting makes my ping go up pretty high. When the stutters get especially bad it goes up to around 50-60 ping. I know my internet isn't the problem. So I'm not sure what could be causing it since everything is closed in the background besides discord.

so again, after some more research, Its lag comp. Although i cant lie that it got really bad after the latest update. To the point of a powerpoint slideshow. So im not to sure of what to do from here

I figured it out, it was some mod I installed. I reset my installation and it worked.
