Black Ops 2 Fresh Install and Plutonium Font Error 720
-
I recently found the plutonium launcher through reddit and wanted to play BO2 again. I fresh installed the game and the multiplayer (which both work by themselves) and downloaded the Plutonium Launcher through the website and followed the guide to download it. After launching the platform, the game would attempt to load before the console kept crashing mentioning Font Error 720. I reached out to the discord for quicker response and DIRK ROCKFACE assisted in the bo2-support channel (check conversation with DumpsterGoat). After 30 minutes of trial and error, fresh installing, checking folders, verifying game files, and other options Dirk everything looked right and had no idea. I mentioned several other posts on the forum about the error but none of the for mentioned solutions worked. Any help or suggestions would be helpful!

embracenewlife Its English, everything is set to English and I have not attempted to change the languages... I don't get the error when playing without the plutonium launcher.

i would check the localization text firstly to see if the top text in the localization text is english just to make sure
then check the zone files for a folder that says "english"
if you have that, check the sound folder, search up english and make sure there are english files for sound
also check for a localization txt file in general, multiplayer is localization_mp and zombies is localization_zm, if you are missing one of the files, you can copy one of the localization txt and rename that copied one to the respective txt file
finally, we can also make sure for real that it works like expected by verifying game integrity on steam, which should fix the problem hopefully, i might be missing something but im sure this could help out

embracenewlife Ive been working with contributors over on the discord and we went over EVERYTING... All the localization files, verifying intergrety, uninstalling/reinstalling, checking zone english files, checking steam settings and 2 of them concluded that all the files are correct and where they should be and that theres is no signs of errors besides when trying to launch the game, and how I should not be getting them since I dont get the error when launching BO2 by itself.
