ASRKakuzu This is what I experienced when playing game modes like drop zone, the delays are due to errors in the scripts. If you check the game console you will see error alerts.

Could there possibly be any way we could fix it or would we have to wait another update?

Several users are complaining about FPS-related issues since the most recent update. Not necessarily during class editing, but throughout a match in itself. The same users have always been on steady 333 FPS, and are now dropping to below 200 FPS (not spikes, but consistent low FPS). Would appreciate if someone can look into this.

You will have to wait for the next update.
A fix has been prepared already but still must be tested in order to release it.

When choosing a class during the start of a match, and also when adding bots, it causes horrible lag.

Also even in private match ping is 20 and movement feels like lagging

The x in iw4x stands for XLabs. Plutonium is not related to XLabs. iw5x doesn't exist.
                    IW5 or pIW5
