I've played for 3 days back to back and no matter the server, [CuK] [NamelssNobes] whatever, there are so many cheaters this game became HvH just like Cs2 lol.

and for anyone who's gonna use the veteran argument, that's pretty old and it's not gonna work

Cheaters on BO2 Plutonium do more damage than people realize. The whole point of Plutonium is to preserve and enjoy older CoDs without the problems that killed them on official servers. When someone cheats, they’re not just “having fun” — they’re actively shrinking the playerbase by driving legit players away.

BO2 already struggles with population at certain hours. A single cheater can ruin an entire lobby, and most players don’t queue up again after that — they just close the game. Over time, that leads to emptier servers, fewer active communities, and ultimately less longevity for the client itself.

The “it’s a free client so who cares” argument doesn’t hold up either. Plutonium still relies on community trust and moderation to function. If cheating is normalized or brushed off, it discourages fair players from investing time, hosting servers, or contributing to the community.

At the end of the day, cheating isn’t about skill gaps or trolling — it’s about selfishness. You’re trading short-term amusement for long-term damage to a game that only survives because people want to play it legitimately.

Good that we don't have lobbies but rather dedicated servers where each one is hosted by a player from the community, who is responsible to moderate their servers. If you are unhappy with the moderation of a server I would suggest to try and populate another server. But if all you do is to join garbage servers that only want to make a quick buck through donations then you can't be helped. There are plenty of great server owners which are very quickly banning cheaters on their server.
