Because that would take development time and there are thousand better things to do with that. Also because when we say no its a perfectly fine reason, and I guess I will go with that.

OpticAura Yea and it works the same way the other way round, for us playing with a controller feels weird but it's possible for both sides to get used to the new controls. Bo3's aim assist on pc is extremely op and that is exactly the point, there is no way to make it fair, either controller or kbm is always gonna have an advantage. We only added controller support to mw3 to satisfy the trickshotters, not for any other reason so there won't ever be aim assist.

Dss0 That makes no sense, kbm and controller both have advantages of their own. I really don't get it, adding aim assist would surely make people happier and maybe even make more people come and stay. Especially since it's cod which is like 99% controller players. Just cause people will get killed by a controller player, the'll be like "Fuckin aim assist" just as controller players getting insta spinned on by kbm's will complain as well. Look at the success of all these cross platform games now, it's obviously not driving many people away.

AlmightyLeftNut Personally i only see people complaining about cross platform play, especially pc players. What about my statement doesn't make sense? You said it yourself, both sides will accuse the other of an advantage, we don't need that. We already gave in and improved controller support for trickshotters. There won't be an aim assist implementation, period. It's only going to cause issues.

Dss0 Yes it doesn't make sense at all that that is a reason why it's a bad thing. They both have their own advantages and there's nothing wrong with that.

Also you see people complaining, but just look at the numbers. Cross platform games are a huge jump in gaming that if almost needed now for games to be successful. It's such a standard now that games should be cross platform that you don't see many people praising it so much as expecting it. I think you realize that this would be a good change for the game, players and numbers wise, but you dont want to deal with the people "complaining" which would probably die down in a matter of days anyway.

AlmightyLeftNut Hey man, i really think the other point some of my fellow staff were trying to make is that, this is a lot of work for very little benefit. Especially when there is a mountain of other things that could be worked on. and far more beneficial to the community.

It's a case of, the controller players are coming into an established PC community. A PC Community client that has given you controller support. Expecting them to then add aim assist is a bit much to ask.

Be happy an excited that the game includes some form of controller support. Celebrate the achievements made by the development team. It's really a lot of fantastic work.

Well don't get me wrong, of course I'm happy this exists and grateful for those making it, I love black ops 2 as does everyone here I assume.

I don't really see what other things are being worked on that have so much more benefit though, is there anything in particular you guys are working on that is way more important and that you can't do this? Again, I'll reiterate that I have no idea how easy or hard it is to add aim assist or how time consuming it is, but I imagine that you guys could do it without that much trouble, seeing the skill set that u guys have of putting this whole thing together in the first place.

I also think it would benefit the game greatly if aim assist was added, so I also don't really get that point.

Regardless of advantage wise, it's not gonna be added. I don't mind having it in game, but as the devs pointed out that it's a waste of time with little reward.
