I own the game on steam

I own the game on steam, but its not connected. I even have plutonium linked to my Steam. -
Either the game path needs to be where Steam has the game installed or the ownership verification through the launcher can’t be done on Linux (I doubt this one).
To open the path that Steam has the game installed into, check this: https://plutonium.pw/docs/game-files/
If nothing works, you have the option of doing the ownership verification through the website as described in this post: https://forum.plutonium.pw/topic/32250/an-update-on-game-ownership-verification -

I found out that it's super picky between / and \, but even now that I have it linked correctly, it's still showing the "SteamApi_Init returned false" message when I try to verify. and when I try to just not do that, it shows up with "Could not authenticate to Plutonium: the service you're using is banned."

Then sounds like the ownership verification can’t be done on Linux. Steam Deck LCD models can’t play online on Plutonium due to sharing the same HWID which someone in the past cheated with. You can still play in LAN mode, but online isn’t an option at the moment unless you run Windows.
