Perhaps your drivers need to be reinstalled/updated or your GPU is failing. I had an RX 590 that always timed out on random games and random times, I got another GPU eventually (also AMD) and now it doesn't timeout anymore.

Hey! I get this same issue im not sure if its an AMD issue or a plutonium issue, its weird since it works fine with all modern games such as like bo3 and bo4 n such but bo1 just causes it to time out.

Sorry for the necro, but I was able to fix this by simply disabling shader warming & lowering the lod scale from extra to high, though lod scale seems to reset itself so I'm not sure how much of an effect that has.

I'm running a healthy RX9070 with perfectly fine drivers if that matters to anyone. Hope the fix works for you guys too.

Unfortunately no, now I'm not. When I last played and tested, it seemed to have fixed the issue, but playing today I realize that was probably just a fluke. I'm still experiencing driver timeout issues on Black Ops 1, on the newest version of Plutonium and with any combination of settings. It's worth noting that I don't have these issues on Black Ops 2, only the first one. I haven't tested WAW yet, I plan to.

There's this tool that addresses the problem by renaming plutonium-bootstrapper-win32.exe to BlackOps.exe but it launches Pluto BO1 SP in LAN mode https://gitlab.com/EvelynYuki/Pluto-Compatibility-Fix

That's a nice development. Is there no way to make it work with multiplayer? Or could the Plutonium devs maybe find a way to implement that into their launcher itself, as a fix for the issue?
