[Feature Request] Official Double XP / Weapon XP Server Toggle (T6 BO2)
-
Hello Plutonium Team,
I'd like to suggest adding an official server-side toggle or DVAR for enabling Double XP and Double Weapon XP on Black Ops 2 (T6) dedicated servers.
Background
Currently, DVARs such as:
scr_xpscale
scr_gunxpscalecannot be modified on Plutonium T6, which means server owners have no official way to host Double XP events without creating custom GSC scripts or modifying game logic. This has been discussed by several community members over the years.
Suggested Implementation
One of the following would be ideal:
set sv_doubleXP "1"
set sv_doubleWeaponXP "1"or simply restoring support for:
set scr_xpscale "2"
set scr_gunxpscale "2"If enabled, all XP awarded by the server would be multiplied before being sent to the client, while preserving existing progression and challenge tracking.
Benefits
Easy to host Double XP weekends or special events.
No need for custom GSC mods just to change XP rates.
Consistent behavior across all dedicated servers.
Gives server owners another way to attract players.
Keeps implementation official instead of relying on unofficial workarounds.
Additional Ideas
Allow configurable multipliers (1x, 2x, 3x, etc.).
Separate toggles for Player XP and Weapon XP.
Optional map or gamemode overrides.
Console feedback indicating the active XP multiplier.I understand there may be technical or progression-related reasons these DVARs are currently unavailable, but having an officially supported server configuration option would be a valuable quality-of-life improvement for server administrators.
Thank you for considering the suggestion and for all the work that goes into maintaining Plutonium.
