i get a Fatal UI Error when joining a server, app stays open and can hear the sound it crashed on. i can navigate through the game fine until i try to join a game. classes, settings ect all work.

Can you show a screenshot of the error message itself? Where did you get your copy of the BO2 game files?

Ahh corrupted stats. Type resetstats into the console and don't unlock an extra class slot.
