Steam shutdown during WAW online

Hello, i am using cb servers to play some old cod and having fun,of the 4 i play WAW is the only one having problems, cod2-cod4mw-codmw2 run no problem at all, WAW keeps freezing out of nowhere during a match or 100% of the time when the map changes, this is where i get a pop up asking me to force quit steam or wait, funny thing is steam is running fine in the background. I run Ubuntu on a macbook pro 2012, with few upgrades like ram/ssd and ofc a sata3 cable swapped. I launch cb from steam and after the first login on plutonium i only see the console that shown no red errors on launch, during the game it stay on the background and after one of the 2 freeze i check it but no error at all even there. I did try to launch without cb, same results using plutonium launcher.
Can someone help me?
