You need to open the steam developer console, which can be opened by typing
    steam://open/console

which connects to the steam client and opens the developer console after which paste the following commands one by one, and move the contents of the downloaded folders into a single folder, recreating the game directory.

    download_depot 42682 42682 6067691797475126381 (shared content)

    download_depot 42682 42683 6381783964590594065 (Localization)

    download_depot 42751 42751 9089183337461621316 (server binary)

after that assign the custom folder you made to plutonium and they game will start.

Fuck you activision. Can't stop the signal.

This helped me to launch IW5 again but there's a lot of weird issues with trying to start a Private Match

      1. It isn't showing the DLC maps anymore (which I legally own on Steam).

      2. Some menus (mostly Map Selection AFAIK) will have your selected option (the green highlight around which option you've selected in the menu) locked to whichever option was highlighted first and it tries to constantly re-set when you either move the mouse cursor over another option or use arrow keys/D-pad to change.

      3. There's an odd problem where in the Map Selection, there's two "Bonus Maps" options, one with yellow text (signifying it's the sub-menu for DLC/custom maps), and another with plain white text as if it's another Map option to select. Sometimes it will select a blank/null map as your Map for the gamemode, sometimes it will bring you to the DLC/custom maps (it's hard to tell which option I'm selecting due to issue #2)

      4. Just tried to actually launch a Private Match (just used all default options: Seatown TDM) and it gives me a "LinkFile" error about an unknown function. I don't think the actual file & function are important, but if you're curious, here's the error I got:

"LinkFile: function 'streakselectuptracker' in file 'maps/mp/killstreaks/killstreaks.gsc' referenced unknown function isjuggernautweapon [8BA9] from script ult.gsc"

5persondude This is because the downloads only cover the base game and shared content. It does not fix DLCs.

you'd have to to go to https://steamdb.info/
and get the AppID the DepotID and the Manifest String and use it like such

        download_depot <AppID> <DepotID> <Manifest>

I don't know how to do it for DLCs, but am in the process of figuring it out.
