Crash after "connection awaiting" timeout

When I try to join a friend's match with the direct "connect IPnumber" command, the game loads all the loading bar and at the end a message comes out : "Awaiting connection x" where the "x" is a counter that after almost 30 seconds goes in timeout and the game crashes. The strange thing is that
- the other friends of mine can join the match
- I've opened all the needed ports and deactivated firewall and antivirus software
- I can easily join the public servers
- I can launch a private match with no issues.
Any idea?
