i really need help

i cant put a video of my problem because its to big of a file size but here is my problem, when i open the command menu it wont close, so when i open it and then press shift ~ to close it, it will only remove the big grey thing where all the commands go, but the top part where u put the commands will stay there and i cant click anything. can someone please help

you have to press the button under ESC (^)

Shift + Tilde (`) enlarges/reduces the console. Press only the tilde key if you want to close it.

Just close it with same key but dont press shift
