I was only recently made aware of plutonium so I decided to check it out. As I was setting up this test account I was just a little scared by how it forces you to send data and also recieve emails. I accepted anyways and played and ofcourse its just BO2 so it was quite fun. However about 1hr later I got an email from steam saying someone had tried to access my account. Naturally this made me a little scared. So is it actually perfectly safe to use? I am just a little sketched out that's all.

    Cheers,

@Throwawaytest123 well yes and providing/verifying your email when registering on a forum or any other service is quite common practice.
Nothing to gain for us by trying to access users' steam accounts.

Completely safe. I've used it since release with zero issues.
