How do I play with friends?

Hello, I would like to play with friends on zombies. How would I manage doing that? We've been trying to figure it out since t4 came out, is it the same as bo2

Dss0 Every time I try to follow that, I get stuck because I don't know if I'm supposed to start a solo game or a lan game, either way it doesn't work for me, if I start a solo my friends can't join, in lan it says that someone else needs to join so I can't do that.
why does this have to be so god damn hard

This doesn't work for me either, port forwarded as well and the connect console command does not do anything at all on either end.
