evilmaxxing what is your antivirus? Even if they are disabled some antivirus will ignore your request to have it off so even ir it's disabled include this in your answer.

It was the antivirus. I already disabled it but it still didn't work after that so I was a bit confuised. I had webroot installed so I just went ahead and uninstalled it. works now, so thanks!
