iw_06.iwd files not updating after draging a skin into the file

I was trying to get customs skins but the method where you drag the skin that you want to replace into the iw_06.iwd file and go into the game, the skin is not there. the only skins that have worked for me are the ones that require you to go into the storage. update: I tried to put the skin in storage/images and it still did not update the skins.

satin_ modifying base game files is a bad idea and you don't need to either, that's what the storage folder is for. Maybe the issue is with the texture itself, you could have made a mistake modifying it or it could be the wrong texture. Which texture are we talking about here? Maybe upload it so people can have a look at it.

Dss0 yeah, putting skins into the iwi files themselves has never worked for me, I did try to put it in the storage/images folder and it still has not worked. the skin is for gloves ill put the link for the files below. it could be my fault maybe im doing something wrong.

Dss0 yeah, me adding it to the iwi files was a mistake ill just reset the files and try it later.
