DipandSkip what is your antivirus software? (even if it is disabled)
Since you say it only happens in multiplayer I doubt this is the issue but we never know.

My bet would be that you're playing windowed borderless in coop while you play fullscreen in multiplayer.
Fullscreen is known for causing crash issues on World at War so switching to windowed borderless instead will stop the crashes. Updating your GPU drivers is always a good thing to do too

@lResxt my antivirus software is webroot, which I have disabled

I play in windowed borderless in multiplayer and coop, so that couldn't be the issue. Also my GPU drivers are already up to date as far as I can tell

WaW worked fine when I launched it on its own

DipandSkip uninstall webroot completely, it's known to cause issues even when disabled (it says it's disabled but really isn't). Windows defender is better in terms of actually protecting your pc.
