Tranzit BO2 crashing every game
-
Ive been playing Tranzit solo recently and every time i play the game it crashes, the crash seems to be random but only happens on tranzit. An error message does show up but seems to disappear very quickly and is said something like "unexpected error due to external software". Im not using any antivirus but i am using DS4 for my PS5 controller.
Any ideas what could be causing the crash -
The error should name the DLL on which it's crashing, we need to know that in order to help you. Also make sure you don't have any overlays running in the background and your GPU drivers updated. Did you recently get any camos/texture packs?

HannesC i havent got any camo/texture packs recently, im using steam install with all DLC, drivers are fully updated, DS4 is running in the background to allow me to use a controller, steam is closed and is only happening in the map Tranzit, is there a way to find a "crash report" which will show the error?

Just record the game, and then run back the recording on 0.25x or 0.5x speed so you can see which DLL its crashing in. Alternatively, you can also check your %localappdata%/Plutonium/crashdumps or %localappdata%/CrashDumps folder to see if there were any dumps created. If yes, upload them.

Rattle what is your antivirus software?
Also try to do this

- Update GPU drivers
- Run this redist installer and let it finish to download and install everything https://github.com/ChxseH/Redist-Installer/releases/download/latest/Redist-Installer.bat

Don't do any of that. It's not a mod issue. From my understanding the map is devided in files (so consoles could run it, which is ironic cause it made pcs not be able to) so your game crashes when it references a point that it hasn't loaded from a file yet. It's a null pointer exception.
Fixing it depends on your gpu and your operative system. For me, setting the game at 45 FPS did it. Idk if it was the fps or the vertical sync desabling, but no more crashes ever since.
This won't be fixed by the mod devs since its not a mod issue.
