I'm Still Not Able To Host A Game With My Friend
-
So I have been trying to see if I can get this to work for my friend. My problem is that I got UPnP enabled, I have port forwarding setted all up. I go to host a private match right? I make the server and after I type in "xpartygo" and hit enter. He should be able to double-click my name and get in the game right?
It just simply doesn't work, neither it worked when he went to the console and did my IP address then with a colon and then the "28960" TCP/UDP thing and it doesn't work either.
I am so confused and yet so frustrated with this since I cannot get my friend to play a simple game with me that I set up. It just doesn't work no matter what I do and it is just agitating.. I followed the guide well on how to set up a custom game with friends and still doesn't work after that.
This is the guide I'm referring to: Custom Games (With Friends)
And so even though I've done all of what it said like reiterated I still am having lots of trouble through him trying to double-click my name. Trying to go through the console and everything isn't working. Is there a solution to this? It just won't work for some weird reason, please give me a good answer to this topic, thanks.

CFalcon075 Post a screenshot of your port forwarding settings.

I am having the same issue, i added my friend on the website here and am unable to invite them. Maybe its not supported not sure.

Szzl you can't invite people, you can only join them.

Dss0 I don't know if I am gonna sound dumb when saying this but I feel kinda skeptical when posting a screenshot of the port forwarding settings I had on there (because I felt the need to not do it for some reason, sorry, even though the info I just provided below might be the same thing you wanted out of my screenshot.). But I can inform you that the TCP was 28960, and UDP was 28960.
So basically I made the assignment name in my Spectrum port forwarding section since I have Spectrum, I go to the app, go to my device's name, I then go to port forwarding for that device specifically. Then I make the assignment name like "COD WAW". After that I make the external port and the internal port to be 28960.
So both TCP & UDP are 28960. Is there something wrong still or am I completely following the guide right? I don't wanna mess anything up. I hope this information is useful in some way. Thanks.

CFalcon075 seems fine.. if your screenshot doesn't show your wan ip there's nothing anyone can do to you. I remember that we had similar issues with someone using a verizon router which has a proprietary firewall that blocked pluto even tho the port was forwarded. idk if spectrum also has something like that but you can check.

Dss0 Well I will definitely look at the router's firewall and tell you the results if it worked or not. Hopefully it'll work so I can play with my friend.

It seems that the thing works now finally after adding the thing to the Windows Firewall. I think it works now but if another issue comes up I will let you guys know, thanks for the help!!
