So for the last couple weeks i have had trouble opening my IW5 IWD files using winrar. Im trying to open them to replace custom camos and add new textures. When i try to open them it gives me a couple options to open them (Paint 3D, Notepad, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Word) It opens them with notepad by default and it is giving me no option to open them with any unzipping tool. Its not the game as my other games are giving me the same issue, so redowloading them wont work. Im just looking for a fix to allow me to open them using winrar.

Puny You're better off installing 7zip and using that. It's free and in my opinion, it's more user friendly

Dealing with IWD files opening in Notepad instead of WinRAR can be frustrating. It sounds like your file associations might be messed up.

File associations can get mixed up, causing them to open with Notepad instead of the intended program.
