Change sprint from toggle

I'm using a controller and since I'm used to spamming the sprint button, I end up walking (stopping the sprint) every second, since the sprinting is on toggle.
That is pretty annoying and it is incorrect from how the console game works.
Does anyone know a way to fix this?

Note: there is no toggle function for sprinting in the settings and I tried both PS4 and XOne controllers. I am using DS4 and tried to solve it from the Steam controller app and couldn't figure anything out.
