There's been a ton of previous responses discussing ds4windows.

It seems that everyone, myself included, is encountering the issue where pluto does not read any controller input from ds4windows, except for the touch bar functionality as mouse.

Re-installed both the game and ds4windows already but still no luck.
DS4 works for other games in library.

Any chance of this issue ever being looked into?

Cyph DS4Windows allows you to use your controller outside of Steam. If you get it working on all your non Steam games but Plutonium's it's probably a misconfiguration on your side, if you can't get it to work on any non Steam game it's you misusing/misconfiguring DS4Windows.

I always installed DS4Windows, plugged in my controller and played on Plutonium, it's not a Plutonium issue that needs to be looked at.

Maybe try selecting the default profile in DS4Windows and make sure you unticked the right things in Steam like mentioned in the guide (or that you exit Steam completely)

go to settings on ds4 windows and tick the box that says hide ds4 controller and go to controllers and where it says select profile put it as default

I'm also having this issue. Closed plutonium (but not ds4) for a little bit and then came back and it just didn't work. hasn't worked since. Have uninstalled and reinstalled everything including drivers.

ciiesto said in Plutonium not recognizing DS4Windows:

              d

I tried that, and unfortunately it did not fix anything. I'm not sure what happened. I didn't change anything before it stopped working. I literally just closed the game for a while and then next time i tried, it didn't work

Vaqzzii Yes it happens. You should try the below possible fixes to resolve your issue.

                • Use the latest version of DS4Windows

                • Updated Bluetooth drivers if you are using Inbuilt drivers wirelessly

                • Re-enable controller. This also fixes our issue sometimes.

                • Use the help of DS4Windows Auto updater to upgrade to the latest version.

                • Un Install & Re-install DS4Windows.

If you want by step-by-step guide to the above fixes, try this Google reference -

I know I'm a bit late but I found the solution, here's what worked for me:

When Plutonium stops recognizing your controller, you must uninstall DS4 and get rid of every file on your PC.

Go to windows search, type %appdata%, go to your "Local" folder and delete the DS4 folder. Reinstall and this should fix it.
