New to modding in general and have very little experience in code and would like to learn more

I would like to create a mod that allows for perk effects to become stackable while also increasing the prices to correspond to the upgrades. I am not sure where to start with this I looked through some scripts and really got no where since I have very limited experience
-
Elaborate, what do you mean as in stackable? As in purchase the same perk multiple times, or purchase multiple perks while bumping up price like in cold war?
-
@dildopenis69 Of course, I should have elaborated. I have never played cold war so I do not know how perks work. I Mean the effects of the perks such as juggernog giving you a 2 hit increase by default, buying it again at 5000 points would grant you 2 more hits on top of the 2 previously purchased and so on. And similar effects for the other perks corresponding to each ability.
-
Ah okay, I understand now.
Cold War's perk mechanic works that you buy perks and the price increases per perk, you buy jug it's 2500, you buy quick revive it's 3000 and so forth.
-
@dildopenis69 Thanks man, do you have any info on how I could go about creating a mod like this?
-
I don't have an idea for a start, maybe try asking around the discord on how that would work?
-
@player7494028 haha I checked there and they told me to come here! it is alright though I bet I will figure it out some day
-
For Juggernog its rather easy, keep track of how often a player has already bought the Perk. Use that info to set the price hint string, and change the health accordingly.
-
Xerxes So the file I would need to change would that be something relative to the server or would that be something that would be based around a map? also thanks btw
