Hi, my friend got banned although we didnt know it was against the rules, could we get a second chance?

So me and my friend JoshBennie18 were messing around with a mod menu on zombies and my friend josh got banned but I didn't, I would just like to know why he got banned because I have tried to find the rules but I cant find any other than an anti cheat which will ban you but no specifics are given as to why you will get banned. We put cheats on (I think, if I'm wrong then I guess that was my oopsie) and we wanted to mess around a bit for some harmless fun. at the very least could someone tell me why he was banned so we can avoid it happening again? and if a staff member feels generous maybe unban him? because we genuinely couldn't find the reason we got banned and we assumed that putting cheats on would allow us to use the mod menu, if i maybe didn't put them on which i may have done then ill accept why we were banned.

Cameron2006c if you use a software on the game to modify the game/inject stuff while not in LAN mode (anticheat deactivated) you will be banned, this is clearly explained in our documentation
