Crashes on Mob of the Dead

Every time I play Mob of The Dead, after a while of playing (15+ rounds) it will crash. Sometimes I don't get any error message and it just minimizes to my home screen and I can't go back on it (or if I'm in windowed mode it will just freeze and say not responding). Sometimes I do get an error message which is something along the lines of [STEAM] connection to styx socket disconnected, reconnecting in 15 seconds. When I wait 15 seconds, nothing happens. I have tried reinstalling, I've made sure I've added exclusions and allowed all flagged threats on windows defender and I've tried to repair my installation but nothing has worked. Some forum posts like this have reported it happening after going on the bridge but I am not sure if this is the case for me.
